| Bid Description: | Municipalities are required by Section 152 of the Constitution of South Africa 1996 to ensure socio-economic development of their constituencies. Chapter V of the Municipal Systems Act 2000 requires municipalities to prepare Integrated Development Plans for the areas under their jurisdiction. An integrated development plan is a five year strategic plan that illustrates how a municipality plans, budgets and manages the affairs of its community. The Public is invited to make comments on the District IDP by 25th April 2008 |
